"Fleure", "Retrospect" and "Tephra" delivered to the Celebration of Craftsmanship and Design Cheltenham
There are only two days to go until the start of 2016's Celebration of Craftsmanship and Design and all the hard work has been completed. Three new pieces have been designed and created for the show and have been delivered ready for the start of the show on Saturday August 20th.
The above image shows the three brand new pieces which will each be featured here on the website over the coming weeks.
Fleure coffee table created from Native Ash comprises of three legs supporting a rounded triangular top, which has been shaped in such a way to reflect the erosion caused caused to our landscape by water.
Retrospect Sideboard created from Black American Walnut accented with red laminate. It is made up of three separate cabinets set on a organically shaped base.
Tephra coffee table sculpted from layers of native Ash.
Tephra coffee table is formed of layers of native Ash, stacked on top of one another and carved into a flowing curved form which is intened to look like it defies balance
The show runs from August 20th to 29th at the Thirlestaine Long Gallery in the grounds of Cheltenham college. It is the UK's leading show for furniture designer makers and features over 200 pieces from over 70 exhibitors.
