fleure side Table
A cantilevered Side Table supported by a single waterfall inspired leg “Fleure” takes its stylistic cues from the erosive properties of flowing water and its ability to shape our landscape. Shown here in European Oak.
Taking its name from the Latin word for “flow” Fleure side table is created from a single board of European Oak. The side-tables form is inspired by the shaping of our natural landscape by flowing water. It is designed to appear as if it could itself have been formed by this process. The top aims to give the impression that it once was a sharper, pointier shape but has been worn down over millennia by the abrasive action of water flow. It has become rounded and softer in appearance over this time and as the water follows the path of least resistance, it flows over the brink and down the leg eroding a channel as it does so. Shaped as it is with a single leg and cantilevered top the table is designed with the intention of being a functional and versatile piece which sits neatly over the top of a sofa seat to provide a surface for resting a TV remote, drink, device etc. In this sense it takes inspiration in function if not in aesthetic from Eileen Gray’s E1027 side table.
The table is available to order in the wood species of your choice or as a set of three which when sat together form a full size coffee table.
